Feel free to call me May! :) I'm a UK-based watercolour artist, and have been drawing and painting ever since I've picked up a crayon or pencil! My influences are vast and wide, from walks in nature, to the music I listen to, the people I meet and talk to, to the books I read! When I started drawing as a kid and teen, I loved anime and wanted to be a mangaka! But now, my love for the strange and beautiful comes from mushrooms and slime molds, flowers and incorporating those into portraits. For now, that is how I want my art to look, strange but beautiful! When I'm not doing art, I'm reading sci-fi books, listening to podcasts, cooking creative but simple meals, or watching documentaries like 'Fantastic Fungi' on Netflix!
